OUR VINEYARDS

Forever concerned about improving the quality of our wines, we purchased 100 hectares of vineyard in Cigales. The rest of the grapes needed, supplied by a select group of vine-growers from the region, are subjected to meticulous controls at our local winery.

The wines produced by Frutos Villar in the Ribera del Duero region come from 200 hectares of carefully selected vineyards
belonging to 51 vine-growers who are proud to be a part of our Ribera del Duero project.

The savoir-faire characteristic of the Frutos Villar family, together with our one hundred years’ experience of wine-making in the region of Toro, has been rewarded by the loyalty of the local vine-growers.

Owning as they do the best-quality vineyards, the latter draw on all their experience and with great effort and dedication provide the grapes needed to make what are the best wines of these lands.

A further 80 hectares of vineyard were purchased in Villalpando, a land whose fields turn hues of golden brown under the August sun, one of luxuriant foliage and green meadows. On this estate, called Finca Don Frutos, we produce a top-quality wine of great character, even though the vineyards do not belong to any demarcated region.

Driven on by our restless, enterprising nature, we have invested both in vineyards and in technological advances so as to be able to better ourselves each year and satisfy the needs of our most demanding customers.
