Muruve The winery was founded in Toro (Zamora) in 1920, and was the first winery in the region. Today we also have the winery Miralmonte. A total of 120 hectares of vineyards planted with the variety Tinta de Toro grapes native to the area, with low yields per vine which gives us an exceptional grape quality.
The total land area served by Toro, covers 62 000 ha. of land irrigated by the river Duero. The area devoted to vineyards is 8,000 hectares. Out of which 5500 are registered in the Control Board. The weather conditions, extreme cold in winter, long hours of sunshine and rainfall of 350-400 mm. Annually, provide an exceptional quality of these grapes. The grapes are allowed on board the Tinta de Toro, Garnacha, Verdejo and the Malvasia.
